The Communications Strategist

Over the years, Aisha has founded/Co-founded various companies within the Media & Communications Space. Some are Pixel & Paper, Meermaad Network (now The 1960 Media & Company as CEO), Amateur Heads Productions. The companies focus on public relations, filmmaking, photography, merchandising, data collection, marketing and communications strategy. She has also partnered with traditional and new media houses, marketing and PR firms and more with a focus on achieving her clients goals.

Using her experience and strong social media following, she has been able to personally support and train over 110 Small & Medium Enterprise (SMEs) and a high number of young creative individuals to boost their visibility and sales, support them in designing and implementing their brand identity. Aisha strongly believes in job creation through skill acquisition and value creation. #ChooseNigerian #ChooseAfrican.

Most recently, Aisha serves as Special Adviser to the Nigerian Minister of Finance, Budget & National Planning on Digital Communications Strategy. Prior, she was the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor of her home state, Kebbi State where she coordinated state and nationwide publicity and reputation management.

.      Provide strategic policy and technical advice to the Hon. Minister on Digital Communications

·       Designing and implementing digital communications strategies, content development and handling of New Media platforms, keeping them up to date with information

·       Promoting open governance by sensitizing the public on new and existing policies, projects and programs via online digital/social media platforms

·       Communications lead, Office of the Minister, on development of the Nigeria Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF), in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Union (EU)

·       Communications lead on the Strategic Revenue Growth Initiatives (SRGI 2.0)

·       Member, Fiscal Policy Reforms Committee (FPRC), responsible for digital communications including Moderating Consultative & Stakeholder Engagement Sessions/Public Presentations on Finance Bills & Finance Acts in partnership with KPMG

·       Member, Technical Working Group (TWG) on ‘Digital Economy, Bio Economy, Science, Technology & Innovation’ and for preparation of the Medium-Term National Development Plans: (MTNDP)2021-2025, 2030, and the National Agenda 2050 (NA2050)

·       Member, Technical Working Committee, Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) which includes facilitating the effective operationalization and implementation of the Fund

·       Member, Country Delegation to the World Bank/IMF Annual and Spring Meetings (lead by the Hon. Minister of Finance)

·       Member, Urban Mass Transit Committee

·       Member, Country Delegation, United Nations General Assembly (UNGA)

·       Advertising/Photo Editor, FMF-Insights, Inaugural biweekly publication that covers the latest news from the Ministry, related agencies, as well as cutting edge issues on Fiscal Policy & the Economy

·       Moderator, Public Consultations/Presentation of Nigeria’s Annual Budget under the Budget Office of the Federation

·       Member, Study Group,  ‘Nigeria Blueprint’ a series of workshops by the Presidency to explore and imagine alternative futures for Nigeria to support the National Planning Process

·       Accounting Officer: Communications, 40 Ministerial Deliverables to drive achievement of the 11 Government priorities of the Federal Government.
